1. Available Scholarships
– Category 1: Recipients will be received.
(1) All tuition fees will be waived throughout the program.
(2) The recipients will receive financial support for personal expenses: 30,000.- baht per semester and 15,000.- baht per summer semester.
– Category 2: Recipients will be exempted from credit fees throughout the program.
– Category 3: Recipients will be waived half of the credit fees throughout the program.
All three Categories of scholarships shall have a duration of 3 years starting from the first day of registered as a student.
2. Eligibility Requirements for Scholarships and Applicant Qualifications
– As a minimum qualification applicants must hold a master’s degree in any field from a university accredited by the Civil Service Commission of the Royal Thai Government.
– In order to qualify for Category 1 scholarships, applicants must have at least GPA 3.50 (4.00 system) at the master’s degree level.
– In order to qualify for Category 2 and Category 3 scholarships, applicants must have at least GPA 3.25 (4.00 system) at the master’s degree level.
– Applicants who have been awarded master’s degrees from international academic institutions where English was the medium of instruction and study. The master’s degree must not be older than 5 years at the time of the first term of the student registration. In addition, the grade point average for the applicant’s master’s degree (4.00 system) must not be below 3.25; or
– TOEFL (TOEFL ITP) 550 or above (testing only at GSLC NIDA); or TOEFL (TOEFL iBT) 79 or above; or IELTS 6.5 or above. Test scores must not be older than 2 years at the time of submission.
1. Applicant Qualifications
– As a minimum qualifications applicants must hold a master’s degree in any field from a university accredited by the Civil Service Commission of the Royal Thai Government.
– Applicants may be admitted into the program according to the following plans:
Plan 1: Applicants submit application documents including official test scores that meet the following criteria:
– TOEFL (TOEFL ITP) 550 or above (testing only at GSLC NIDA); or
– TOEFL (TOEFL iBT) 79 or above; or
– IELTS 6.5 or above
Test scores must not be older than 2 years at the time of submission; or Applicants who have been awarded master’s degrees from international academic institutions where English was the medium of instruction and study. The master’s degree must not be older than 5 years at the time of the first term of the student registration and the grade point average at master’s degree (4.00 system) must not be below than 3.25.
Students who applied through plan 1 are exception from enrollment in the additional English language courses according to NIDA regulations.
Plan 2: Applicants submit application documents including official test scores that fall into the following criteria:
– TOEFL (TOEFL ITP) 500 or above (testing only at GSLC NIDA); or
– TOEFL (TOEFL iBT) 71 or above; or
– IELTS 5.5 or above
Test scores must not be older than 2 years at the time of submission.
Students who applied through plan 2 are required to enroll in 2 additional English language courses (non-credit) according to NIDA regulations. Students are further required to submit official English language proficiency test scores before their dissertation defense. Scores accepted as follows:
– TOEFL (TOEFL ITP) 550 or above (testing only at GSLC NIDA); or
– TOEFL (TOEFL iBT) 79 or above; or
– IELTS 6.5 or above; or
– NIDA EPT (English Proficiency Test) 650 or above
Test scores must not be older than 2 years at the time of submission.
